Founded in 1996, Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn (Hope Children's Hospital) is a 69-bed hospital including a 15-bed pediatric intensive care unit and 9-bed pediatric surgical heart unit. Paired with a 16 bed pediatric emergency department and 46 bed neonatal intensive care unit full care is provided for our patients from birth to young adulthood. Hope also offers outpatient services, pediatric radiology services, and pediatric rehabilitation services.

Originally named Hope Children's Hospital, in 2012 Hope was renamed to Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn to better reflect the growing presence of Advocate as the provider of the majority of pediatric services in the Chicago area. Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn shares a campus with Advocate Christ Medical Center which houses the GME office for Hope's pediatric residency program.

Hope offers top-notch care encompassing over 30 pediatric specialities. Hope serves a large population living in Southern Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. Hope is ranked by US news reports in Neonatology and Cardiology and is one of the top 50 children's hospitals in the nation.

Hope Children's Hospital also fulfills an instrumental role in education and training of young pediatricians.  Each year, over 175 third-year medical students rotate at Hope on the inpatient floors, outpatient clinics, nursery, and with specialists.  Hope Hospital also boasts a thriving residency program and graduates thirteen new pediatricians each year who go on to practice in the community, pursue further fellowship training, or continue to teach other residents and students.
